Can I play in the tournaments even if I am staying in another hotel?

No, it’s only possible to take part if the trip is booked with us (exceptions are Spaniards living on the Costa Brava).

Will the tournaments be played in the hotel I’m staying?

Yes, all participants will stay in the same hotel. That’s why the number of participants is limited.

How far is it from the airport to the hotel?

Barcelona – approx. 85km

Gerona – approx. 45km

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

a) By train: go left in front of airport. There is the train station. From there the train travels in one direction only. At Barcelona Sants, change trains and take the train direction Blanes. The train stops at Malgrat about 800 m from the hotel. Costs about 3 – 4 euros per person.

b) By taxi: taxi fare costs about 120 euro.

c) By bus: Please let us know your airline and arrival time and if there are enough people, we can arrange a shuttle bus. Price depending on number of people, 8 – 30 euro per person.

How do I get from Gerona to the hotel?

a)      Best and quickest way is by taxi. Costs 60 euro.

b)      There is also a bus but we do not have exact information about this.

c)      Shuttle bus (See point c above). Costs 6 – 20 euro pro person.

When should we arrive at the hotel on Wednesday? And is there a tournament on that day?

There is no tournament on the arrival day, so you can arrive at anytime. However, you can normally only get your room after 12.00. The reception is open 24 hours.

Can we book a family room (suite) also with 4 adults?

Yes, of course, a suite has 2 rooms with bath. One double-bed room and a room with 2 single beds. Please note that there is, however, only 1 TV.

Can we book a suite with 3 adults and a child?

Yes.

Can we book a suite with 2 adults and 2 children?

Yes, it’s possible. The adults pay the full price and the children 250 euro.

Are there tournaments everyday?

No, we want to combine holiday, fun and darts. On 6 days there are tournaments. 4Days are tournament free. On these days day trips are offered. Although, in recent years independent tournaments were organised by the participants themselves. In the last 2 years these tournaments were called ‘Darte mit Renate’. From 2008 these will be announced beforehand and details posted on the notice board.

What kind of weather can we expect in May?

Since we stopped organising the trip to take place at Easter but in May, we have always had good weather (lots of sun, little rain) with temperatures up to 32°. The temperatures in recent years have been between 20 – 30°. It can get a bit chilly in the evenings.

Can I book half-board?

No, the CBC is offered as a package which includes full-board as there is no time on tournament days to eat outside. That’s why most participants prefer full-board.

What happens if I get a cheap flight earlier or later than the organised dates?

That is normally no problem. One extra day including full-board costs only 28 euro when booked through us (normal hotel list-price is 32 euro).

What about smoking in Spain?

At the airport, in restaurants and pubs, smoking is normally prohibited, although there are smoking areas everywhere. In the hotel smoking is only permitted outside.
